What would life be without stories?
Humans think, dream and feel their way through life with stories.
The more stories we tell and receive, the richer our relationships with those around us become.
Whilst parents and teachers tell stories to the children in their care regularly, it is sometimes nice to sit back and let others treat us to the magic.
Which is why we are delighted to be welcoming Špela Kaplja back to Malta.
Špela is a writer and storyteller with a special interest in using stories and creative writing to enable people to connect to the natural world. Špela founded the ecological organisation Terranima which focuses on researching natural life and our connection to it. Špela continues to combine ecology and storytelling, organising youth camps, forest workshops, ceremonies with horses and other activities to broaden awareness of the ways in which the natural world is interconnected with our life.
On the 20th March Špela will be gifting us magical stories about humans and nature in an event for all the family.
Befriending the Wild Within is an animal story and totem card workshop that helps participants look beyond the stories that present animals as vicious and dangerous enabling them to embrace the true qualities of animals, helping them to connect to the wild natural world outside and within themselves. Come and listen to the friendly story of a wolf, a gentle story of a big bear and open your heart to the mystery of a bee. This workshop is aimed at adults and children of all ages and promises to be a great opportunity for family bonding.
Places for this are limited so register to join us here.
